At AP we are specialists in applying Vacuum Coating Technology to provide high quality metallic finishes for a wide range of applications and industries.

Our techniques allow us to add brilliant long-lasting coatings for all kinds of plastics, resins, glass and metal.

The coatings can be broadly split into the following areas:

Functional Coatings: A lustrous mirror / reflective shine used for flash, automotive, emergency and many other types of lighting.

Decorative Coatings: A coating applied to enhance the appearance of a vast array of products. Chrome, gold, brass and a variety of colours can be achieved, including satin.

RFI / EMI Shielding: For use in electronic, military and aerospace applications.

Vacuum metalising is a excellent decorative alternative to electro plating, paticularly where plastics are concerned. It offers a comparable quality of finish with considerable cost savings.

It is more flexible than electro plating in that most plastics can be coated, it also has the advantage that parts can be masked so that only specific areas are coated.
